Endowment CampaignOur lagoon. Our legacy.![]() Bufflehead (Photo: Herbert Knufken) The Conservancy's continued success in fulfilling its mission to preserve, protect and enhance the Reserve depends on our ability to foster a shared sense of stewardship and responsibility for this precious natural resource. We can best accomplish this through continuing and expanding Conservancy public education and outreach programs, including a quarterly educational newsletter and informational brochures, tours for schools and children and adults led by trained docents and staff, interpretive trail signage, annual Lagoon Appreciation Day and other community events, and volunteer clean up and biological monitoring events. Join Us. )Please join us in assuring the future of the Reserve and these programs for this generation and the next by contributing to the permanent Conservancy endowment.
The Conservancy EndowmentThe Conservancy endowment was established to ensure the financial future of important Conservancy programs by protecting assets through careful and intelligent investments. Through generous donations, the Conservancy endowment has grown to more than $875,000. Over the next year, the Conservancy seeks to increase this amount to $1 million. The resulting endowment earnings will secure the Conservancy's ability to: - Conduct community outreach and education - Support volunteer and docent development - Protect San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve and its watershed |
