2009 Docent of the Year

The accomplishments of long-time Conservancy member, Bob Chaddock, were recognized at the Birds of a Feather Gala in 2009.

When Bob retired from his engineering career, he knew he wanted to spend more time outdoors. In addition to being an active community member and avid cyclist, Bob decided to become a docent for San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy, graduating from docent training in 2001. He has concentrated his efforts leading walks for high school and college students and other community groups. Bob also enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise as a consistent leader of the popular Second Saturday Walks and as a regular participant in Bird Counts.

Bob is a tremendous asset to both the Conservancy’s environmental education program and to our community. We sincerely appreciate his commitment, dependability and leadership. Congratulations, Bob Chaddock, on being named 2009 Docent of the Year.
