Tijuana Estuary King Tide Hike
Saturday, January 21: 9:30-11:30 am

In January, visit Tijuana Estuary and join Interpreter Anne Marie Tipton during a King Tide, the highest tide of the winter. Together, we will find out how the research reserve continuously measures water depth and is a sentinel site keeping tack of trends with a changing climate. You can also learn about their award-winning planning to adapt to impacts from riverine flooding and sea level rise. All Ages Welcome.

Join San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy in celebrating King Tides with a family-friendly beach event during the spectacularly low tide. We are partnering with the California Coastal Commission's California King Tides Project and WildcoastJoin us as we explore the tide pools of Swami's State Marine Conservation Area during an extreme low tide. Together we will discover some of the crazy ways animals stay safe, participate interactive learning experiences and have fun "diving" into the world of tide pools during our King "Tidings Event" in December.
