Overview:

Wrentits are known as the "Voice of the Chaparral" for their whistling call, heard pretty much anywhere you find the chaparral plant community. Wrentits are common in the reserve and all along the Pacific Coast, but since they tend to skulk quietly through the chaparral, they're easy to miss. Look for a pair of plump, grayish brown birds with long cocked tails and white eyes.
