Tour the Rhythms of the Seasons

Join Conservancy Naturalists on first and last Saturdays in complimentary LAGOON DISCOVERY Tours. We begin and end at the San Elijo Lagoon Nature Center.

You'll get an overview of life between the twice-daily tides in this dynamic wetland where land meets ocean. Fresh water and salt water mix here. Migratory birds make a landing and join resident species. This is a great way to see a diversity of birds that refuel in the salt marsh and mudflats, and to recognize other animals pointed out from the loop trail. Native plants splash the landscape with color and fragrance, each season. There is always a surprise, a new discovery to make, in guided tours of San Elijo Lagoon, presented by San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy.
