DOCENT IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Sally measures her wingspan during a school program.

Inspired volunteering makes a difference.

San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy has a core of approximately 40 Docent-Naturalists. Almost daily, these talented volunteers are leading field trips for school children, hikes for community groups by reservation, or lending their talents to Family Discovery Days quarterly programs.

Each season we highlight the outstanding contributions of a Docent and share our conversation with members in Lagoon Tidings, Lagoon eNews, and online here. We thank all of our Docents and wish to recognize their collective talents in making the world a better place through environmental education and stewardship in San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve.
