Family Fun Days

Get unplugged and head outdoors

Kids can uncover cool mysteries while exploring their natural world with FAMILY FUN DAYS. On the FIRST SUNDAY of each month, a new natural theme opens up a world of discovery about life in San Elijo Lagoon, and in all of the world. Adventure-filled Family Fun Days features: crafts, hands-on exhibits, and TRACK Trails activity guides. And, it's an opportunity to earn a Junior Ranger Badge.

3-Part Family Fun Days

This fall, enjoy the Kumeyaay Series Family Fun Days with a spotlight on native plant resources and art making activities.

Explore how the Kumeyaay (KOOM-e-yi), who lived along these shores, worked with their natural resources. In September, families can learn about tools and hunting skills in Arrowhead Crafters, including flint knapping demonstrations and soapstone bead necklace making. October's Rock Art introduces hands-on skills for creating unique rock art. Make and play acorn games in November’s Yummy AcornsCo-presented by Conservancy & County.
