Family Fun Days

Co-Presented By:
San Elijo Lagoon Conservancy | San Diego County Parks & Recreation

Each month, kids learn about lagoon life through hands-on fun, craft making, discovery stations and animal encounters. We give nature the spotlight and invite our younger generations to explore the world outdoors.

Adventure-filled Family Fun Days includes TRACK Trails guides and the opportunity to earn a Junior Ranger Badge.

April 7: Good Morning Reptiles!
Visit our famous tortoise, Franklin, as he awakens from his winter sleep.

May 5: Animal Detectives
Be an animal detective and learn to identify who’s been where by getting to know animal tracks and scat.

June 2: Living Off the Land
Learn how the Kumeyaay lived off the land using natural resources we see, hear and sense today in San Elijo Lagoon.

July 7: Moon & Tides
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo moon landing (and 60th NASA Anniversary) by learning how the moon affects the tides, the rise and fall of the ocean's surface.
